Begin with your question
What Are You Seeking?
Choose a path to a prayer, an explanation or both.
A place to begin with your question
You do not need to know a religious vocabulary before asking for strength, remembering someone who died, or trying to understand a practice. Start with the subject that matters to you. Read its context, use a prayer if it fits your beliefs, and follow the connected teaching at your own pace.
This section brings related subjects together while keeping their identities visible. Espiritismo and Santería are not the same religious system. Some people participate in both; others do not. An ancestor, a spiritual guide and an Orisha are not interchangeable categories.
Learning that respects relationship
Lucumí religious life is learned in community as well as through reading. Public explanations can help you ask informed questions, understand terminology and recognize responsibilities. They cannot confer priesthood, replace divination or authorize ceremonies.
Prayer here is an invitation, not a requirement or a promise. The tools select from a fixed collection and never interpret your destiny or diagnose an experience. You can use every public prayer without an account.
From Spiritual Evolution — A companion for spiritual practice · pp.6–9
Miller introduces Spiritual Evolution through sovereignty of mind, continuity of spirit and the discipline of compassion. His introduction invites readers to study, practice, reflect and return. These pages follow that reflective approach: an intention leads to an attributed prayer, a teaching and a responsible next step.
