Original author prayer · Spiritual Evolution
Words for this moment
Divine Source, Eternal Comforter, Today my heart is heavy. The weight of loss sits on my chest, and the silence feels too deep. You who hold the stars and the soil, Hold also my tears. You who cradle the spirits of the departed, Cradle me in this hour of grief. I do not always understand why things are taken, Why life shifts like shadows at dusk. But I trust that love is never lost, That every soul returns to Your embrace, That memory is a bridge across the veil. Give me strength to walk one step, then another. Give me courage to face the night and seek the dawn. Let my mourning be held in light, And may this loss become seed for compassion, So that even in sorrow, I remain open to love. For my ancestors who walked through their own grief, Stand beside me now. For my descendants who will face loss in their time, Teach me to model resilience and faith. In Your mercy, transform my pain into peace. In Your promise, remind me that I am never alone. Amen. Asé.
