Related traditions are not interchangeable
Lucumí should not be collapsed into Isese, Candomblé, Palo, Vodou, Hoodoo, Espiritismo, generic Spiritualism or New Age spirituality. Comparisons need a specific subject and clearly named traditions. Shared materials or a shared concern with spirits do not make offices and permissions transferable.
An Orisha is not assigned by preference
Favorite colors, personality quizzes and birth dates do not establish this site's authority to identify someone's Orisha. Learning about an Orisha and having a particular religious relationship are different matters. The site's library supports the former; it does not perform divination.
Privacy and visibility
Not everything religiously significant is available for public display. A video may omit context, permissions or what happened before and after. At the same time, a claim of secrecy does not excuse exploitation. Ask who is speaking, which tradition is being described and what the evidence actually establishes.
Sensational accounts that reduce Lucumí to fear or spectacle obscure family, history, learning and responsibility. Better questions lead to better sources: begin with the site's history, methodology and public learning paths.
From Spiritual Evolution — Read synthesis as synthesis · pp.7,30–31
Miller describes a conversation among traditions and explicitly introduces original prayers. Those statements are essential source context: an author’s synthesis should not be backdated into anonymous ancient liturgy. The Library names Miller and the manuscript for each selected prayer.
