Santeria Church of Olodumare · Proposed church
The mission of Santeria Church of Olodumare
To establish and sustain a Santería devotional community rooted in respect for the Orisha, responsible religious practice, education, and mutual care, and to restore a historic church as a lasting home for worship and learning.
Religious integrity
Religious leadership will define the practices the church is qualified to offer and the responsibilities of participation. The community will respect the different practices of houses and lineages and the boundaries around private religious knowledge.
Education and understanding
The project aims to improve public understanding of Santería through accurate teaching, respectful dialogue, and honest conduct. Its public education will be guided by qualified practitioners and clearly describe the community's own religious practice.
Voluntary participation
Participation and financial support will be voluntary. Donations will not determine spiritual standing or guarantee a ceremony or religious outcome. Approved membership rights and program arrangements will be explained before enrollment.
A lasting devotional home
The congregation will begin with administration and dedicated space in the founder's home. Its long-term vision is a restored historic sanctuary with altars, statues, ceremonies, education, and community gatherings.
